FENOFIBRON is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs known as fibrates. FENOFIBRON is primarily used to treat high levels of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. FENOFIBRON works by reducing the production of triglycerides in the liver and increasing the elimination of triglycerides from the blood.
FENOFIBRON is prescribed to lower elevated levels of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol (often referred to as "bad" cholesterol), triglycerides, and to increase HDL cholesterol (often referred to as "good" cholesterol").
