Rosuvastatin & Fenofibron (20mg)
ROUSTRIN F is a combination of Rosuvastatin (10mg), Fenofibron (160mg) that are used together to treat high cholesterol levels in the blood.
Rosuvastatin belongs to a class of drugs called HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, commonly known as statins, that work by blocking the enzyme responsible for producing cholesterol in the liver. Rosuvastatin is used to lower "bad" LDL cholesterol levels and raise "good" HDL cholesterol levels in the blood.
Fenofibrate belongs to a class of drugs called fibrates that work by decreasing the production of triglycerides, a type of fat found in the blood. Fenofibrate also helps to increase "good" HDL cholesterol levels in the blood.
ROUSTRIN F can help to lower both LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood while increasing HDL cholesterol levels. The dosage and frequency of use of these medications depend on the severity of the condition and should be determined by a healthcare provider.
Common side effects of ROUSTRIN F may include headache, muscle pain, stomach upset, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
These medications may interact with other medications, including blood thinners and certain antibiotics, so it is important to inform your healthcare provider of all medications and supplements you are taking before starting treatment.
