Rasagiline (0.5mg)
Rasagail is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs called monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Rasagail is primarily used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease. Rasagail works by inhibiting the activity of an enzyme called monoamine oxidase-B (MAO-B), which breaks down certain chemicals in the brain that are important for the proper functioning of nerve cells.
By inhibiting MAO-B, Rasagail helps to increase the levels of dopamine, a neurotransmitter that is deficient in Parkinson's disease. This can improve the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, such as tremors, stiffness, slowness of movement, and balance problems.
STERIS PHARMA Generic medicines are typically much cheaper than brand-name drugs. Generic medicines have the same active ingredients, strength, dosage form, and route of administration as their brand-name counterparts.
