Olmesartan and Amlodipine (20mg)
Olmistrum AM is a combination medication that is used together to treat high blood pressure, also known as hypertension. Olmesartan belongs to a class of drugs known as angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs), while amlodipine belongs to a class of drugs known as calcium channel blockers.
Angiotensin II can cause blood vessels to narrow, leading to high blood pressure. Olmistrum AM blocks the action of this hormone and relaxes the blood vessels by blocking the entry of calcium ions into the muscle cells of the vessel walls.
Olmistrum AM can provide more effective blood pressure control by targeting different mechanisms that contribute to high blood pressure.
Olmistrum AM is typically taken orally as a tablet, once daily, with or without food. The dosage will depend on the individual's condition and response to the medication.
Common side effects of Olmistrum AM may include dizziness, headache, swelling in the ankles or feet, and fatigue.
