Nimodipine BP
NIMONIDIP is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs called calcium channel blockers. It works by relaxing the smooth muscles in the blood vessels, which helps to improve blood flow to the brain.
NIMONIDIP is used to prevent and treat cerebral vasospasm, a condition in which the blood vessels in the brain constrict and reduce blood flow, following a subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding in the space surrounding the brain).
The medication is taken orally as a capsule, every four hours, for up to 21 consecutive days. The dosage will depend on the individual's condition and response to the medication.
