Atorvastatin IP (20 mg)
STERIS ATORVASTATIN is a prescription medication that belongs to a class of drugs known as statins. It is used to lower cholesterol levels in the blood and reduce the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attacks and strokes.
STERIS ATORVASTATIN works by inhibiting an enzyme in the liver called HMG-CoA reductase, which plays a key role in cholesterol synthesis. By inhibiting this enzyme, STERIS ATORVASTATIN reduces the production of cholesterol in the liver, resulting in lower levels of LDL cholesterol (commonly known as "bad" cholesterol) in the bloodstream. It also modestly increases levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, often referred to as "good" cholesterol.
STERIS ATORVASTATIN is available in strengths of 10 and 20 mg.
STERIS PHARMA deals in Generic medicines that are subject to the same rigorous standards to ensure their safety, quality, and efficacy.
