Danazol (50mg)
DANOZOLIS 50 is a medication that contains the active ingredient danazol. DANOZOLIS 50 is a synthetic steroid derived from ethisterone, a hormone found in the body. Danazol has both progestogenic and weak androgenic (male hormone-like) properties. DANOZOLIS 50 is primarily used in the treatment of certain gynecological conditions, including endometriosis (a condition where the tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside of it) and fibrocystic breast disease. DANOZOLIS 50 may also be prescribed in rare cases to treat hereditary angioedema (a genetic disorder causing swelling episodes).
DANOZOLIS 50 suppresses the production of certain hormones, including follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), which are involved in the menstrual cycle. By inhibiting the secretion of these hormones, DANOZOLIS 50 reduces the production of estrogen and progesterone, which can help alleviate symptoms associated with endometriosis and fibrocystic breast disease.
