1. Glimepiride:

   • Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea medication that helps lower blood sugar levels by stimulating the pancreas to produce more insulin. Insulin is a hormone that helps regulate blood sugar levels by facilitating the uptake of glucose into cells.
   • Glimepiride is effective in people with type 2 diabetes whose blood sugar levels cannot be adequately controlled through diet and exercise alone.
   • It is typically taken once daily with breakfast or the first main meal of the day.

2. Metformin Hydrochloride Prolonged Release:

   • Metformin is a biguanide medication that primarily works by decreasing glucose production in the liver and improving insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues, such as muscle and fat cells.
