DILTITAB CD 90 usual starting dose of diltiazem hydrochloride SR capsules to treat high blood pressure in adults is 180 to 240 mg once daily, and the dose may be increased as needed to a maximum of 360 mg daily. However, in some cases, a lower starting dose of 90 mg once daily may be used. For certain heart rhythm disorders, the usual starting dose is 120 to 180 mg once daily, and the dose may be increased as needed.
It is important to take diltiazem hydrochloride SR capsules exactly as prescribed by your doctor and to not change the dosage or stop taking the medication without first consulting your doctor. Common side effects of diltiazem hydrochloride include headache, dizziness, fatigue, and swelling in the legs and feet.
