Lactulose (3.33)/10ml
LACTULOOZ is a synthetic disaccharide sugar composed of fructose and galactose. LACTULOOZ is commonly used as a medication and a laxative to treat constipation or hepatic encephalopathy (a condition that affects brain function due to liver disease). LACTULOOZ works by drawing water into the colon, softening the stool and promoting bowel movements.
In the treatment of constipation, LACTULOOZ helps to relieve the symptoms by increasing the water content and bulk of the stool, making it easier to pass. LACTULOOZ is often prescribed for individuals who have difficulty with regular bowel movements or who need to avoid straining during bowel movements, such as people with hemorrhoids or after surgery.
LACTULOOZ is available in strengths of 100, 170 and 200 ml.
STERIS PHARMA Generic medicines are typically much cheaper than brand-name drugs. Generic medicines have the same active ingredients, strength, dosage form, and route of administration as their brand-name counterparts.
