OLMISTRUM TRIO is a combination of three medications that used together to treat hypertension (high blood pressure).
Olmesartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) that works by blocking the action of a hormone called angiotensin II, which causes blood vessels to narrow and blood pressure to rise. By blocking the action of this hormone, olmesartan helps to relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure.
Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing the blood vessels and reducing the resistance to blood flow. This results in lower blood pressure and improved blood flow to the heart and other organs.
Chlorthalidone is a thiazide diuretic that works by increasing the amount of salt and water that the kidneys excrete, which helps to reduce the amount of fluid in the blood vessels and lower blood pressure.
OLMISTRUM TRIO can have a complementary effect on blood pressure reduction, with olmesartan relaxing the blood vessels, cilnidipine reducing the resistance to blood flow, and chlorthalidone reducing the amount of fluid in the blood vessels.
