NEBIVALVE is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs known as beta-blockers. NEBIVALVE is primarily used for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension). NEBIVALVE works by blocking the action of certain chemicals, such as adrenaline, on the heart and blood vessels. This causes the blood vessels to relax and widen, which helps to lower blood pressure and improve blood flow.
NEBIVALVE selectively blocks beta-1 receptors in the heart and blood vessels. This results in a decrease in heart rate and contractility, reducing the workload on the heart and lowering blood pressure.
NEBIVALVE is available in strengths of 2.5 and 5 mg.
