Naproxen and Domperidone SR
NAPROXZEN D are two different medications used for different purposes.
Naproxen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is commonly used to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and lower fever. NAPROXZEN D belongs to a class of medications called propionic acid derivatives. Naproxen is often prescribed to treat conditions such as arthritis, menstrual cramps, headache, muscle aches, and other types of pain. It works by inhibiting the production of certain chemicals in the body that cause inflammation and pain.
Domperidone SR, on the other hand, is a medication used to treat gastrointestinal motility disorders. NAPROXZEN D is a dopamine antagonist that works by blocking dopamine receptors in the gastrointestinal tract, which enhances motility and aids in the movement of food through the digestive system. Domperidone SR is often prescribed to relieve symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, bloating, and discomfort caused by conditions like gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), delayed gastric emptying, and gastroparesis.
NAPROXZEN D is available in strengths of 250 and 500 mg.
