May 31, 2023
Mycophenolate Mofetil (250 mg)
MYCOPLASM M is an immunosuppressive medication used to prevent organ rejection in solid organ transplantation and to treat certain autoimmune diseases. It is a prodrug of mycophenolic acid, which is the active form of the medication.
MYCOPLASM M works by inhibiting the proliferation of immune cells, particularly T and B lymphocytes, which are involved in the immune response. It does this by blocking the enzyme inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH), which is necessary for the synthesis of DNA in these cells. By suppressing the immune response, MYCOPLASM M helps to prevent the rejection of transplanted organs or control autoimmune diseases.
MYCOPLASM M is available in strengths of 250 and 500 mg.
