METHIMZOLE works by blocking the production of thyroid hormones in the thyroid gland. METHIMZOLE interferes with the synthesis of thyroid hormones by inhibiting an enzyme called thyroid peroxidase, which is necessary for the production of thyroid hormones.
METHIMZOLE is available in strength of 5 and 10mg.
