Amlodipine works by blocking the entry of calcium into smooth muscle cells of the blood vessels and heart. This relaxation of the blood vessels leads to a decrease in peripheral vascular resistance, reducing blood pressure.
LOSASTRUM AM can have an additive effect, meaning that when taken as a combination, it can further lower blood pressure compared to using either medication alone.
