Sitagliptin Phosphate (100 mg)
GLISITAPTIN is an oral medication used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It belongs to a class of drugs called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors.
GLISITAPTIN works by inhibiting the enzyme DPP-4, which normally breaks down the hormone incretin. Incretin hormones stimulate the release of insulin from the pancreas and help regulate blood sugar levels. By inhibiting DPP-4, GLISITAPTIN increases the levels of active incretin hormones, resulting in increased insulin secretion and reduced glucose production by the liver.
GLISITAPTIN is available in strengths of 50 & 100 mg.
