CANDISTRUM works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that constricts blood vessels and increases blood pressure. By blocking the effects of angiotensin II, CANDISTRUM helps to relax and widen the blood vessels, reducing blood pressure and improving blood flow.
CANDISTRUM is commonly prescribed for the management of hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults and children over the age of 1 year. CANDISTRUM is also used in the treatment of heart failure, particularly in individuals who cannot tolerate ACE inhibitors. Additionally, CANDISTRUM may be used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with certain risk factors.
