LINALIGLIP is a medication used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It belongs to a class of drugs known as dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors. LINALIGLIP  work by inhibiting the action of the enzyme DPP-4, which breaks down incretin hormones. Incretin hormones help regulate blood sugar levels by stimulating insulin release and decreasing the production of glucose by the liver.
By inhibiting DPP-4, LINALIGLIP increases the levels of active incretin hormones, which in turn leads to increased insulin secretion and decreased glucagon secretion, both of which help lower blood sugar levels.
