For generalized anxiety disorder:
The starting dosage is usually 150 mg taken orally daily, divided into two doses (75 mg twice daily) or as a single dose.
Dosage may be increased to 300 mg per day within one week based on individual response and tolerability.
 

Side Effects:
Common Side Effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, weight gain.
Less Common Side Effects: Edema (fluid retention), difficulty concentrating, headache, nausea.
Rare but Serious Side Effects: Allergic reactions, suicidal thoughts or behavior, changes in mood or behavior.
 

Withdrawal Effects: Abrupt discontinuation of pregabalin may lead to withdrawal symptoms such as insomnia, headache, nausea, anxiety, sweating, and diarrhea. It's important to gradually reduce the dosage under medical supervision if discontinuation is necessary.
Precautions:
