FEBUOXATE 

Febuxostat is a medication primarily used to treat hyperuricemia (elevated levels of uric acid) in patients with gout. It is also used to prevent gout attacks by lowering uric acid levels in the body.

Gout is a type of arthritis that occurs when uric acid crystals accumulate in the joints, leading to inflammation, swelling, and pain. Febuxostat works by inhibiting xanthine oxidase, an enzyme involved in the production of uric acid.
