AZELIKEM is a medication used to treat hypertension, also known as high blood pressure. It belongs to a class of drugs known as dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers.
AZELIKEM works by relaxing the blood vessels and reducing the resistance to blood flow, which lowers blood pressure. It is available in tablet form, and the usual recommended dose is 8mg once daily.
In addition to its blood pressure-lowering effects, AZELIKEM may also have other cardiovascular benefits, such as reducing the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attacks and strokes.
Common side effects of AZELIKEM may include dizziness, headache, flushing, and ankle swelling.
AZELIKEM is available in strengths of 8 & 16 mg.
