Bethanechol Chloride (25mg)
BETHNEVOID is a medication that is used to treat certain conditions related to the urinary system, particularly those involving urinary retention or difficulty emptying the bladder. BETHNEVOID belongs to a class of drugs known as cholinergic agonists.
BETHNEVOID acts by stimulating the muscarinic receptors in the bladder, which leads to increased contraction of the bladder muscle (detrusor muscle) and relaxation of the muscle at the bladder outlet (urethral sphincter). This results in improved bladder emptying.
BETHNEVOID is primarily used for the treatment of urinary retention, which can occur due to various reasons such as postoperative conditions, neurogenic bladder (nerve-related bladder dysfunction), or drug-induced urinary retention. BETHNEVOID may also be used to assist in the diagnosis of certain bladder conditions.
STERIS PHARMA Generic medicines are typically much cheaper than brand-name drugs. Generic medicines have the same active ingredients, strength, dosage form, and route of administration as their brand-name counterparts.
