Ranolazine ER (1000 mg)
RANOGEM ER (extended-release) is a medication used to treat chronic angina (chest pain). It belongs to a class of drugs known as antianginal agents.
RANOGEM ER works by improving the blood flow to the heart and reducing the workload of the heart. It does this by blocking the late inward sodium current in the heart muscle cells, which can help to decrease the amount of oxygen needed by the heart muscle.
RANOGEM ER is taken orally, once or twice a day, with or without food. It should be swallowed whole and not crushed or chewed. The dosage will depend on your medical condition and response to the medication.
Common side effects of RANOGEM ER include dizziness, headache, constipation, nausea, and vomiting. It can also cause a decrease in blood pressure, so it is important to monitor your blood pressure regularly while taking this medication
RANOGEM ER is available in strengths of 500 & 1000 mg.
