Glimepiride (1mg) and Metformin HCI SR (500 mg)
SEIZMET G is a combination of two oral medications that are used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Glimepiride is a medication that stimulates the release of insulin from the pancreas, helping to lower blood sugar levels.
Metformin HCI SR is a medication that decreases glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity, helping to lower blood sugar levels. The sustained-release (SR) formulation allows for slower release of the medication over time, leading to more stable blood sugar levels throughout the day.
SEIZMET G is prescribed to help control blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes who have not achieved adequate glycemic control with other medications. The combination therapy may improve glycemic control and reduce the risk of hypoglycemia.
