TOPERITIME EX is a combination of two medications that are both used to treat different types of pain.
Tolperisone HCl is a muscle relaxant that is used to treat muscle stiffness, spasms, and pain caused by neurological disorders such as cerebral palsy, stroke, or multiple sclerosis. It works by blocking the influx of calcium ions into muscle cells, which reduces muscle contractions and relieves muscle spasms.
Etoricoxib is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is used to treat pain and inflammation caused by conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or ankylosing spondylitis. It works by reducing the production of prostaglandins, which are responsible for causing pain, inflammation, and fever.
TOPERITIME EX is prescribed together if a patient has both muscle spasms and pain caused by inflammation.
