Faropenem (200mg) & Popassium Clavulanate (125mg)

FAROPINOM DUO

  • Faropenem: Faropenem is an antibiotic medication belonging to the class of oral beta-lactam antibiotics. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. Faropenem is effective against a variety of bacteria and is commonly used to treat respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and other bacterial infections.

  • Potassium Clavulanate: Potassium clavulanate is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It works by preventing certain bacteria from inactivating beta-lactam antibiotics like faropenem. Beta-lactamase is an enzyme produced by some bacteria that can break down beta-lactam antibiotics, rendering them ineffective. Potassium clavulanate helps extend the spectrum of activity of faropenem by protecting it from degradation by beta-lactamase enzymes.
