Cilnidipine and Olmesartan Medoxomil (40 mg)
OLMISTRUM LN is a combination medication that is used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).
Cilnidipine works by blocking the entry of calcium into the smooth muscle cells of blood vessels. By doing so, it helps to relax and widen the blood vessels, which results in a decrease in blood pressure.
Olmesartan medoxomil works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance that causes blood vessels to narrow. By blocking this action, olmesartan helps to relax and widen the blood vessels, leading to a decrease in blood pressure.
OLMISTRUM LN will have a synergistic effect in lowering blood pressure. The combination based OLMISTRUM LN medication helps to relax the blood vessels and reduce the overall resistance to blood flow, resulting in a greater reduction in blood pressure compared to using either medication alone.
OLMISTRUM LN is available in strengths of 20 & 40 mg.
