Olmisartan (40mg), Metaprolol (25mg) is a combination of two medicines, namely: Olmesartan and Metoprolol, which together helps in lowering raised blood pressure effectively. Olmesartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin, thereby relaxing blood vessels. This allows the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently. You can take Olmesartan (40mg), Metaprolol (25mg) with food or without food. It should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, bite, or break it.
