TRIOLMISTRUM 40
Olmesartan, Amlodipine, and HCTZ (Hydrochlorothiazide) are medications used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).
Olmesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the action of a hormone called angiotensin II, which constricts blood vessels and raises blood pressure. By blocking the effects of angiotensin II, Olmesartan helps relax and widen the blood vessels, lowering blood pressure.
Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) that works by blocking the influx of calcium ions into the smooth muscles of blood vessels. By doing so, it helps to relax and widen the blood vessels, reducing blood pressure and improving blood flow.
Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic, also known as a "water pill." It works by increasing the excretion of water and salts, including sodium, from the kidneys. This helps to reduce the volume of fluid in the blood vessels, resulting in lower blood pressure.
STERIS PHARMA Generic medicines are typically much cheaper than brand-name drugs. Generic medicines have the same active ingredients, strength, dosage form, and route of administration as their brand-name counterparts.
