Olmesartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, also known as an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the action of a hormone called angiotensin II, which causes blood vessels to narrow and results in increased blood pressure. By blocking the effects of angiotensin II, olmesartan helps relax and widen the blood vessels, reducing blood pressure. 
Chlorthalidone is a diuretic medication, specifically a thiazide-like diuretic. Diuretics help the body eliminate excess fluid and salt through increased urine production, which leads to a decrease in blood volume and subsequently lowers blood pressure. Chlorthalidone works by inhibiting the reabsorption of sodium and chloride ions in the kidneys, promoting diuresis (increased urine production). 
OLMISTRUM CH is available in strengths of 20 and 40 mg.
