NICOMALOM  also known as acenocoumarol, is an anticoagulant medication used to prevent blood clots. NICOMALOM belongs to a class of drugs known as vitamin K antagonists (VKAs). NICOMALOM works by inhibiting the synthesis of certain clotting factors in the liver, thereby preventing the formation of blood clots.
NICOMALOM is primarily used for the prevention and treatment of conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism, and atrial fibrillation. It is commonly prescribed for individuals at risk of developing blood clots, including those with a history of blood clots, certain heart conditions, or those who have undergone certain surgeries.
When taking NICOMALOM, close monitoring of blood clotting parameters, such as the international normalized ratio (INR), is necessary to ensure that the medication is achieving the desired anticoagulant effect. Dosage adjustments may be required based on individual response to the medication.
NICOMALOM  is available in strengths of 1,2,3 and 4 mg.
