Metoprolol Succinate and Cilnidipine
CILINITAB M is a combination of Metoprolol Succinate (23.75mg) & Cilnidipine (10mg) which are used together to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).
Metoprolol succinate is a beta-blocker that works by blocking the effects of adrenaline on the heart, which slows down the heart rate and reduces the workload on the heart. This results in a decrease in blood pressure and an improvement in heart function.
Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing the blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily and reducing the workload on the heart.
These two medications work by different mechanisms to achieve the same goal of lowering blood pressure, and they can be used together in combination therapy for more effective blood pressure control.
Some common side effects of CILINITAB M include fatigue, dizziness shortness of breath, headache, flushing, and swelling in the legs.
CILINITAB M is available in strengths of 25 & 50mg.
