Ivabradine
IVADINE is a medication used for the treatment of certain heart conditions. Specifically, it is a selective inhibitor of the If current in the sinoatrial node of the heart, which slows down the heart rate without affecting other aspects of heart function.
IVADINE is primarily used to treat chronic stable angina, a type of chest pain that occurs when the heart muscle doesn't get enough blood and oxygen. It is also used to treat certain types of heart failure, and is sometimes used off-label for other heart-related conditions.
IVADINE is taken orally, usually twice daily, and must be prescribed by a healthcare professional. It may cause side effects such as bradycardia (slow heart rate), visual disturbances, and gastrointestinal symptoms. It should not be used in patients with severe liver impairment, as it may increase the risk of side effects.
IVADINE is available in strengths of 5, 7.5 & 10 mg.
