Dapagliflozin and Metformin Hydrochloride
PAFAGOLD M is a combination of Dapagliflozin and Metformin Hydrochloride that are used together to treat type 2 diabetes.
Dapagliflozin belongs to a class of drugs called sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors. It works by blocking the reabsorption of glucose by the kidneys, which leads to increased glucose excretion in the urine and helps to lower blood glucose levels.
Metformin Hydrochloride belongs to a class of drugs called biguanides. It works by reducing the production of glucose by the liver and improving insulin sensitivity, which helps to lower blood glucose levels.
PAFAGOLD M will have a complementary effect on blood glucose control. It can help to reduce blood glucose levels by increasing glucose excretion  and can help to reduce liver glucose production and improve insulin sensitivity.
Common side effects of PAFAGOLD M may include gastrointestinal symptoms, such as nausea and diarrhea, as well as increased risk of urinary tract infections and genital infections.
