Ulipristal Acetate Tablet (5 mg)
ULIPSTALL is a medication used for emergency contraception, also known as the "morning-after pill". It can be taken within 120 hours (5 days) after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure to prevent pregnancy.
ULIPSTALL works by blocking the effects of the hormone progesterone, which is involved in the menstrual cycle and the maintenance of pregnancy. By blocking progesterone, ulipristal acetate can prevent or delay ovulation (the release of an egg from the ovary) and make it more difficult for a fertilized egg to implant in the uterus.
ULIPSTALL is not recommended as a regular method of contraception and should only be used in emergency situations. It is also not effective in terminating an existing pregnancy. It is important to talk to a healthcare provider about regular contraception options to prevent unintended pregnancies.
