Rivaroxaban (10 mg)
ROXARIVABEN is an anticoagulant medication that belongs to the class of drugs known as direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs). It is used to prevent or treat blood clots in various medical conditions.
ROXARIVABEN works by inhibiting a specific factor in the blood clotting cascade called factor Xa. By blocking the activity of factor Xa, ROXARIVABEN reduces the formation of blood clots and helps prevent their growth and propagation.
ROXARIVABEN is prescribed to reduce the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in individuals with non-valvular atrial fibrillation, a type of irregular heart rhythm. It is also used to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) following certain surgeries, such as total hip or knee replacement, and for the treatment and prevention of DVT and PE in individuals with acute venous thromboembolism.
ROXARIVABEN is available in strengths of 10, 15 & 20 mg.
