Rabeprazole Sodium and Ondansetron
RABISTRUM ODIN is a a combination of two medication that are used for different purposes, but they are prescribed together for specific conditions.
Rabeprazole sodium belongs to the class of medications called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). It works by reducing the production of stomach acid. By decreasing the amount of acid in the stomach, rabeprazole helps alleviate symptoms such as heartburn, acid regurgitation, and stomach pain.
Ondansetron, on the other hand, is a medication used for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting. It belongs to a class of medications called selective serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonists. It works by blocking serotonin receptors in the brain and gastrointestinal tract, reducing the signals that trigger nausea and vomiting.
RABISTRUM ODIN is prescribed if a person is experiencing both acid-related symptoms and nausea/vomiting.
