Amoxycillin (500mg) + Clavulanic Acid (125mg)

CLAVAMOXY 625 DUO

  • Amoxicillin: Amoxicillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria. It does this by interfering with the bacteria's cell wall formation. Amoxicillin is effective against a wide range of bacteria and is commonly used to treat various bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, ear infections, urinary tract infections, and skin infections.

  • Clavulanic Acid: Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It works by preventing certain bacteria from inactivating amoxicillin. Beta-lactamase is an enzyme produced by some bacteria that can break down penicillin-type antibiotics like amoxicillin, rendering them ineffective. Clavulanic acid helps extend the spectrum of activity of amoxicillin by protecting it from degradation by beta-lactamase enzymes.
